Each month our family goes to the store and purchases food in order to feed the homeless. We pick up lunch meat, cookies,
chips, candy, and soda. We then come home, and make the sandwhiches. This process usually takes an hour or so, because we
make atleast 50 sandwhiches. We then, put the sandwhiches along with the other foods into a brown bag. We usually keep the
soda together in the package so they dont smoosh the sandwhiches. We also, collect pillows and blankets to take to the homeless
as well.
We jump in the car and head downtown to Baltimore City. We didnt know how many homeless people there where in Baltimore
City, until last month. It was rainy and cold. We had seen a park, located outside and church, which had blankets and tarps
everywhere. We figured the homeless stayed here. There werent any there though, probley because of the rain. So, we drove
around searching else where. Finally, we found a shelter where a few homeless were located. Atleast, we thought a few homeless
were there. As we got out of the car to hand them food, we realized how many more were actually there. We didnt have enough
food for all of them, nor enough blankets.
Because of what we saw that night, we have decided to make this site. We would like for everyone who visits this page
